MetroFest 2013

MetroFest Returns!! 90.3 The Rock and Metro Pulse proudly present the 2013 MetroFest, a monthly music tour benefitting the nonprofit Joy of Music School. Itchy and the Hater Tots with the Grassroots Gringos perform the first show Thursday, October 3rd at the Bowery in the Old City. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. Local band ITCHY AND THE HATER TOTS includes members of the Dirtclods and Boogie Disease! A donation of $5 gets you in the door, and all of the proceeds go to fund music programs at the Joy of Music School.

Francis Graffeo, executive director of the Joy of Music School, explains the purpose of the concert series:
“MetroFest Music Tour is Metro Pulse working to bring together musicians, venues, sponsors and audiences in Knoxville by presenting donated performances in donated spaces for the purpose of raising support for the Joy of Music School, a nonprofit organization that provides free music lessons and instruments to financially disadvantaged, at-risk youth.”
