Hip Hop for Hunger

April 10, 2014 - 8:00pm

90.3 The Rock and The Scarecrow Foundation need you to "Help End Hunger in America" with Hip Hop for Hunger, a night of local art and underground Hip Hop that seeks to help raise awareness and funding for hunger related issues and solutions.

The music kicks off this Thursday, April 10th at Scruffy City Hall in Market Square at 8 p.m.  Your $5 donation gets you in to see Knoxville's own home-grown Hip Hop legends The Theorizt, Mr. Ill & the Medicine,  C. Shreve, One Hour Photo, and DJ Wings.  The show will be hosted by Drop Knowledge of WUTK's Edutainment Hip-Hop Show.

Hip Hop for Hunger also includes a showcase of local visual artists  Rhonda Moody, Nathaniel Tucker, Jacob Tessendorf, Sam Rue, Maggie Tankersley, and Ian Lycke at SkyBox Sports Bar and Grill at 5 p.m. the day of the show, and an after-party at Latitude 35 featuring DJ Rain live.

Telling you how to have a good time, end hunger, and support your live music scene all at once, we are 90.3 The Rock.  Triple whammy!
