Celebrating 100 Years of the Knox Conservation Expo
Saturday, October 12th
The Centennial Conservation Expo marks the 100th anniversary of the 1913 National Conservation Exposition and celebrates a century of conservation in East Tennessee on Saturday, October 12th in Chilhowee Park.
In 1913, Knoxville hosted the National Conservation Expo in what is now Chilhowee Park. This event put Knoxville in the national spotlight and garnered attention for not only the city itself but also conservation and environmental issues of the time.
The Expo will showcase Knoxville's heritage and ongoing commitment to conservation with historical displays, hands-on demonstrations and exhibits, children’s activities, live entertainment, athletic competitions, and events throughout the grounds of Chilhowee Park.
