ABOUT ROGUE WAVE AND MIDLAKE:

Though singer/guitarist Zach Rogue assembled the Oakland, CA, quartet which includes fellow multi-instrumentalists Pat Spurgeon (drums), Gram LeBron (guitar) and Evan Farrell (bass), Descended Like Vultures is the first time the band's leader has ever made a record with a whole group in the studio. As an entire unit, Rogue Wave went out of its way to create a free-flowing album that includes equal amounts of tension, release and resolution. In the process they have made a brilliantly layered, expertly crafted album that changes shape with repeated spins. Completing this double bill is Denton, Texas' Midlake, Five highly talented musicians from the small, quirky Texas town of Denton have come together to create a unique sound, tapping into an arsenal of technical skill and unbridled creativity. The Trials of Van Occupanther from 2006 wholly established the band's moody, captivating retro-rock, earning comparisons to Fleetwood Mac. After extensive touring, the band took a break and released The Courage of Others in 2010.
