2011 Knoxville Music Harvest Festival

90.3 The Rock is proud to be a sponsor of the 2011 Knoxville Music Harvest Festival, presented by Socially Equal Energy Efficient Development, or SEEED.  The live music festival takes place this Sunday, September 25th from 4-9 p.m. at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. Live performances from the local hip hop, reggae, gospel, jazz,  and poetry scenes, including The Knoxville Symphony Quartet, Planet 3, Carib Sounds Steel Band, The Theorizt, and more.  Spanky Brown will emcee the event.

SEEED is a community development non-profit organization focused on creating pathways out of poverty for low-income communities.  The Music Harvest festival hopes to raise funds for their fall pre-apprenticeship program, to raise awareness about low to no cost weatherization programs, and to kick off LP3, SEED’S Youth Organized Community Listening Project.

More info about this Sunday’s Music Harvest Festival can be found at SEEED’s face book page.
